Sun was shining in the sky, there weren't a cloud in sight... so decided to treat my mum to lunch!
After pondering where to go I settled upon a little gem called Margo's Lounge in Gorleston. Many of my friends had been previously and recommended it so thought we'd give it a go.

Mum and I both ordered a latte which was perfectly made and a lot cheaper than a 'popular' national coffee chain alternative. Our food was all freshly made and full of flavour. The coleslaw served in its own side dish was refreshing and complimented the mango salsa and chargrilled paprika chicken perfectly. The quantity on the dish was generous and well worth the £5.50. My mum loved her tuna and spring onion open sandwich with lime mayonnaise and said "The lime mayo married the tuna brilliantly and was like a taste explosion" | From the outside the huge windows allow you to look inside at the beautiful vintage interior and as you step into the light, spacious and quaint coffee shop you're immediately transported back in time. The attention to detail is a real delight as every inch is a source of nostalgia. The table service was very prompt and the staff, extremely helpful. We felt the need to try their selection of homemade cakes after our superb light lunch and our choice of chocolate brownie and banana & chocolate cake did not disappoint. The flawlessly baked desserts were moist, moreish and rounded off our visit perfectly. |
We both agreed if we lived closer we'd be visiting everyday! There were plenty of board games, cards, dominos to keep families or playful adults occupied. Another example of their amazing attention to detail. I would strongly recommend paying a visit for yourself and we will certainly be regular customers.
